warren barton Fantastic debut album,so cinematic and the sound is so huge. As soon as I heard Hypersleep I knew I had to buy this stunning time conceptual progressive metaltastic masterpiece. All the songs are so beautifully written. Favorite track: Endless.
Shapeshifting

Shapeshifting A long wait have gone since their EP. So was it worth it, builds nicely from the ep with the more redefined end product with the tracks flowing smootly into each other while not ruining it's next moves. Thanks guys for delivering a great debut LP.
Easily one of my highlights in this genre so far this year. Favorite track: Blackbody.

Inertia 08:57
Time passes and we pass through time. Time passes and we pass through time. As creatures we're made of events more than we're flesh and blood we’re breathing time, we feed on it, perhaps we're ourselves time slave to ourselves. We’re doomed to live in a false dimension that does not allow us to understand this. It’s useless to look for something outside if there’s nothing inside. Empty, emptiness is form, form is emptiness. Full of nothingness, deluded of traveling, while motionless and still. This journey defies all laws. Time passes and we pass through time the only event beyond the the impending inertia. To be everything and part of everything.

Zero 04:40
There is a point where everything starts: explosion, a blinding glare so strong that it ceases to exist, a deep confusion, a circle with no beginning or end. Zero is here, in the end you will see the traced path, from the light you will discover that everything is connected that you are only at the beginning. From the zero of seas, to the infinity of mountains you will stretch yourself, becoming time, slave to yourself you will ram these walls with the force of free will. You love the father, you love the Zero, father of love, father of infinity. We are orphans who roam within themselves Love infinity, love thy zero, love thy God.

Hypersleep 06:30
Flashes of colored lights behind my eyelids, pulses of a world, that isn’t ours we suffer its strength we absorb its character we are all slaves. We will become slaves when we’ll finally open our eyes. We travel, motionless, through the hypersleep, predestined, confined, slaves of ourselves, poised between universes built by false gods, our fathers, who fed us (with) shame and misery. Arrived, this is our home, custom built for us the walls shake, rub on the skin, open eyes, yet, but we don’t see beyond that dark cloud; lights no longer flash. I reach the summit, it’s cold and obvious. I reach the bottom, sink into it. And I reach over the edge, I... I hope never to return here. Tear away your eyes, tear open skin, tear off the ground, so that… this will never happen again.

Repetita 04:05
Repeat it inhale exhale keep breathing repeat until you forget the way faster and faster less and less deep repeat it until you forget the way beat after beat. As if hadn’t depended on you as if I hadn’t had a heart and now remains blind in a valley of mirrors lost between you and yourself Now scream scream until it hurts bleed to be free. Free the nightmare set the nightmare free. Free what you do not want to relive as if doesn’t depend on you.
6.
Disembody 05:36
I scream, loud as I can, not a word comes out a somewhat voluntary drowsiness, which I can’t explain I'm writing words whose meaning I don't remember/can't recall I’m walking among people, but I float in a void our lives that fade away without leaving a trace Filled with emptiness, I can’t get rid of it weak, one step from falling asleep ready to surrender to the waves of time, aware of being a mote of dust embraced by night and day I’m floating in a void full of an unmistakable void emptiness is form, matter of destiny, separate from you.
7.
Blackbody 06:18
I look for names of things that are nothing and and thus become my everything Constant awareness written and rewritten, word by word I denied it, hidden behind confused metaphors, drowned in my sadness as if my pain could make it disappear. Instead I did nothing but nourish it and give it shape even though it does not have one. I accepted its existence by breathing it in and trying to understand it I am a stupid man amidst light and stars; my conscience is shattered and disappears, drowning knowledge. I look for my name in nothingness and thus way I become all my nothingness Constant awareness: we do not exist, we are nothing. We come alive as stories only if we tell ourselves to each other Drowned in my sadness as if my pain could make it disappear in trying to understand I give in to this game scream after scream my obsession feeds on me and becomes me If we are time we are inertia and in embracing it we’re something if we flow incessantly.

Endless 06:03
We come alive as stories only if we tell ourselves to each other as creatures we're made of events more than we're flesh and blood drowned in our sadness as if our pain could make her disappear Tear away the eyes, Tear open skin, so this will never happen again. I scream, loud as I can, not a word comes out a somewhat voluntary drowsiness, which I can not explain. Inhale exhale, keep breathing, repeat until you forget the way And after all, don’t be afraid, Free the nightmares free what we do not want to relive Zero is here, in the end you will see the traced path, from the light you will discover that everything is connected We’re are searching for something who it’s gone with the tide A sort of eulogy for tides and times Our life is like a tangle of thousand circles in which nothingness is all inertia moves us, we are inertia
9.
Eulogy 09:19
I tried and I tried countless times to understand to make sense of what surrounds me decypher the signals, listen to the howl within to be what I want, to set new goals… now stop stop telling me stories learn to love, learn to smile to write what i feel, to tell my story stories that push us forward that tear us from time we forget the language we find ourselves shouting words, whose meaning we have forgotten dragged by the tide of events we touch a cold and empty horizon the event horizon Do you perceive it? The force of emptiness is the force of occurrence. We’ve become nothing more than the sound of our words a sound of hopes and dreams rippling through our lives the real us transpires in our acts we end up losing our identity drowned by the noise stop wasting all my words learn to love, learn to smile to write what I feel, to tell my story and the word life loses its meaning it's very meaning While we’re are searching for someone who’s gone with the tide A sort of eulogy for tides and times

about

“Time passes and we pass through time.”

Inertia is a property of matter by which it remains at rest or in uniform motion in the same straight line, endlessly unless acted upon by some external force. Motionless yet moving while the earth spins at 1670 km/h, our perception of being steady on this world is pure illusion as well as our soul deludes itself whenit gets crushed under the challenges of life.

The Endless Inertia is an album that enquires into the human mind and its awareness of time and will, exploiting the concept of inertia as a metaphor for quiet and stillness in people’s life, wether suffered or intentional.

about

La Fin Milan, Italy

La Fin is a metal band based in Italy. Their sound is a massive mix of various extreme metal influences with many layers thanks to three distinct guitars, weaved with heavy bass lines upon ruthless and introspective atmospheric parts combined together. The wide dynamic range relies on the explorations of a fearless rhythmic section and on the distinctive, primal yet bitterish role of vocals. ... more
